Lessons from the Most Productive
What We Can Learn from One of the Most Successful CEOs
This week, I want to show you how one of the most successful CEOs structures his day to become the most efficient version of himself.
This man has multiple routines that are perfectly suited for maximum work efficiency as well as a healthy lifestyle.
I’m talking about none other than Mark Zuckerberg.
He is one of the most productive people on earth, and there’s a lot more to him than just his company and endless work.
Daily Routines
His day starts at 8 a.m., when he gets up and checks his phone for the latest news from around the world.
After that, he follows a clear morning routine:
• Workout (Jiu-Jitsu or MMA) for mental focus
• Wearing the same shirt every day (he doesn’t want to waste time deciding what to wear)
• Always the same breakfast
After his morning routine, he heads to work and puts in 10 hours before leaving the office to spend the evening with his family.
This is non-negotiable for him, as he wants to put his kids to bed every night.
At midnight, he goes to bed, tracking his sleep with an Oura ring.
This allows him to optimize all his routines as much as possible to suit his personality.
That was just a small glimpse into his life to show you that optimizing your routines isn’t a waste of time or effort.
It’s the foundation of sustainable, long-term success and constant improvement.
Why shouldn’t you do it if even the big entrepreneurs do?
One thing I find really interesting is his constant focus on minimizing decisions.
He wears the same outfit every day and eats the same breakfast.
Because he wants to focus on the things that matter most to him.
To be honest, I wouldn’t want to wear the same thing every single day or have the same breakfast every morning, but it’s definitely an interesting way to think about and set routines.
I mean, making fewer decisions would be good for everyone:
• more time
• less stress
• more focus on the things that matter
Sounds good, right?
I definitely want to try it, and this is also my lesson for you this week.
